RetroX1
For music schools

Your school's music software: teachers, students and everyone's progress

Students study for free on RetroX1, with a microphone that checks every note. The school gets the management: teachers, classes, study plans with goals and week-by-week progress — on flute, guitar, strings and piano.

Two audiences, one site

🎵 Students: free

Anyone can come in and study: pick an instrument, play with the sheet music and chords, and the microphone shows whether the note was right. Nothing to install.

🏫 The school: management

The school organizes teachers and students; the teacher sets the week's practice and sees who practiced, how accurate they were and who needs attention.

The instruments

Each instrument with its own page, songs and tools.

RecorderBrazilian fife (7 keys)Irish tin whistleAcoustic guitarElectric guitarViola caipiraCavaquinhoMandolinUkulelePiano

In class and at home

A microphone that checks every note

The sheet music waits for the right note and turns green; in the game, every note is checked and the student moves up a level. Works with a phone microphone.

Sheet music and chords together

Staff, chords and the fingering for every note (fingers on the flute, string and fret on the guitar), with a metronome and ♪ Listen before playing.

Tools for strings and piano

Scrolling chord sheets and setlists, chords in their usual shapes and rhythm — on guitar, cavaquinho, mandolin, ukulele, viola and piano; plus a tuner for the strings.

Flauta Hero, the game

Songs scroll down the screen in three levels (Easy, Medium and Hard), with folders by style: practice becomes a game.

Sheet music editor

Write and fix sheet music on the site and save it as MusicXML (opens in MuseScore).

Exercises and theory

Scales, arpeggios, Greek modes, rhythm and ear training, to practice between lessons.

For the school

For the teacher

Up to 500 students

The teacher signs up the student, who gets access by e-mail.

The week's study plan

For one student or several at once: the song, where to practice (with the microphone or in the game) and the accuracy and speed goals.

Materials

Theory, lyrics, sheet music from the editor and files (PDF, image, MusicXML) for the students.

Songs released per student

The teacher uploads the sheet music and chooses whether it's for all their students or just some.

Who needs attention

The dashboard shows who is online, who hasn't practiced for days and what each student did last.

Notes and chat

Notes from each lesson (visible to the student or not) and chat with the student, in one place.

Progress for every student and the class

Your school's songs: MIDI becomes sheet music

With RetroX1 Studio (a Windows program), a MIDI file becomes sheet music: choose the melody, the Easy, Medium and Hard levels and the accompaniment, and the song goes live on the site — in the game, on the chosen instruments (flute, strings and piano) and in the right folders. It also saves MusicXML.
